Whether you're working in hospitality, brewing, or you're a passionate beer fan who wants more than just tasting notes—this globally recognised qualification will help you confidently explore the styles, science, and stories behind your favourite brews.
Offered exclusively in New Zealand by Beer School NZ (powered by WineEdCo), this is your chance to study beer like a pro.
What you’ll learn:
The raw materials and production methods that shape beer flavour and quality
How to analyse and describe beer using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting (SAT)
The characteristics of over 60 beer styles from around the world
How to store and serve beer for peak enjoyment
How to pair beer with food (and why it works)

WSET study book and group online class sessions.
Exam by remote invigilation with the option of attending an exam at our exams centres.
This online course requires approximately 15 hours of study. It is advised that students should taste a range of beer during the course.
Key Dates:
Course Dates: Course runs over 5 consecutive weekends starting on the 10th May
10th/11th May -17th/18th May -24th/25th May- 31stMay/1st June- 7th/8th June.
Class times will be 3-5pm each day.
